Founded in 1977
Establishment of Sunlight Paper and operation of its own conversion facilities.
1991
We launched our first product line, jumbo roll tissue, under ‘‘Sunlight’’ brand.
1993
We secured a customer which principally engages in the provision of building maintenance, security, cleaning and related services to commercial and residential buildings.
1999
We began to sell our tissue products in the healthcare industry.
2002
Sunlight relocated in 2002
We moved our conversion facilities from Jalan Tukang to Tuas.
2003
We began our business relationship with a customer which principally engages in the provision of cleaning services and textile service.
2010
We began our business relationship with an integrated resort and casino operator in Singapore.
2014
We secured a contract for the supply of our tissue products to a newspaper publisher listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange Limited.
2015
We received a supplier excellence award from an integrated resort and casino operator in Singapore
2016
We secured a three-year framework agreement for the supply of our tissue products to the largest international airport in Singapore.
2018
Listed on GEM of the HKSE in 2018
A member of Sunlight (1977) Holdings Limited listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (8451).
2019
We began digitizing various processes and operations across departments by setting up an ERP system – Dynamics 365 Business Central, and improved our logistics processes to include a GPS-routing software – Skyfy, to track all our deliveries.
2020
Major renovation works for The Sunlight Building including the existing workspace and an entirely new level 3 for production.
2020
We were appointed an essential supplier by the Singapore government during the covid period. Worked closely with the Singapore government to keep stocks of toilet paper roll in JTC warehouses.
2021
As part of digitalizing our business, we started our eStore called Sunlight Paper Self Order and Payment Portal (SOPP), fully integrated with Dynamics 365 Business Central, NETS, Stripe and DBS Rapid.
2022
We revitalized our workspace to create a truly exceptional environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and productivity. Level 3 is used for a larger scale end-to-end conversion and production of tissue products.
2023
We resumed our production line for Jumbo Roll Tissue with an upgraded line of machines from Italy, with improved automation, precision and quality control. We are proud to say we manufactured our own Jumbo Roll Tissue in Singapore!
We successfully Implemented InvoiceNow, a nationwide e-invoicing network that enables companies of all sizes to process invoices in a more efficient manner, reducing business costs and shortening payment cycles. Being able to operate on the open standard Peppol framework allows us to directly transmit e-invoices in a standard digital format across different finance systems.
We participated in the DBS ESG-Ready Programme to learn how to become future-ready by building capability and capacity in sustainability.

We launched a new Paper Hand Towel production line in Singapore, powered by advanced fully automated machinery from China, ensuring precision and uncompromising quality.
